ASSESSMENTS

 Shine utilizes a variety of developmental, academic, and social/emotional assessments to gain a better understanding of your child’s strengths, skills, and areas that may be behind his/her peers. Assessment results help gauge specific areas that need attention and Shine staff will assist in the creation of activities that are able be implemented at home, school, or other social situations.

Shine is pleased to offer developmental screenings to local preschools and child care centers - similar to school-wide vision and hearing screenings. The comprehensive assessment provides parents with a graphical representation of five key areas; including social-emotional, cognitive, communication, adaptive behavior, and physical development.
